Oconee County Council gives Economic Development Director permission to pursue “unidentified” project during an executive session



City of Georgetown to put check registers online; public still WON’T see what items the checks purchased

 City Administrator Chris Eldridge:  All people will see, he said, is the amount spent. They will not see an item-by-item listing of what was bought with the money.  He said that could lead to confusion and misinformation since receipts will not be included in the information posted.  “I really don’t know how much it will tell the public,” he said. 



City of Columbia boosted salaries while officials ran multi-million dollar deficits 



Dorchester District 2 expects to cut $4M from budget in the middle of the school year
